Womenfest brings 5 days of celebration

September may be the hottest month in Florida.

That’s weatherwise.

But in Key West, the five days of Womenfest are the hottest of the year for the thousands of lesbians, transwomen, and allies who come to what is one of the top LGBTQ+ vacation destinations in the country.

Organizers say Womenfest has a simple goal: “To celebrate all women!”

Key West Womenfest, set for Sept. 1-5, offers a range of activities for those who want to socialize, feel comfortable being themselves, soak up some sun, then party and dance the night away.

Since its introduction over 20 years ago, Key West Womenfest has grown to become a standard for celebrating women ranging from all ages 21 and over. Couples, singles, and those in between are all welcome.

Here’s a schedule of events. For details and links to reservations, visit www.gaykeywestfl.com/womenfest/.
