DoorDash is a national service that offers food delivery along both coasts of Florida. You can get your fix for fast fare from such national chains as Outback, Popeyes and McDonald’s, for example, as well as local restaurants. There’s no delivery fee for your first order. Wanting to take further steps to social distance or self-quarantine? You can request a no-contact delivery drop-off.

This is a nationwide (and UK) service with more than 300,000 restaurants on their lists. Not only do they offer delivery, but they give takeout/pickup locations as well. Order online or use their phone apps. They’re connected with menupages.com — a source for local and chain restaurant menus. Kudos, too: They partner with No Kid Hungry and offer “Donate the Change” line, helping relieve childhood hunger with their donations.

UBER EATS

If you’re familiar with Uber, you can easily navigate its delivery app. This is one of Uber’s featured apps that allows you to order online as well as by phone. What we like about it is it allows you to order a meal for someone else and follow it from restaurant to door. There are more restaurants here than on some other national delivery apps, and if you call your favorite restaurant, most will accept Uber delivery requests even if not on a list. ¦
