New York designer Watts opens Key West studio

Interior designer Vanessa Watts has opened a Key West outpost of her interior design studio.

Ms. Watts has taken up residence on South Street and begun taking clients in Southern Florida and the Keys.

The new studio is offering a full array of services, including interior design, editorial styling, object design and digital design.

Ms. Watts’ client, New York-based opera singer David Cangelosi, says of her work, “Ms. Watts is enviably efficient, creative, and forward thinking in both services and design. She is at the top of her game, as I experienced first hand in both New York and Chicago.”

Ms. Watts started her eponymous firm in 2020, after a nine-year career with New York City hospitality and residential design studios.

At firms including Rockwell Group, Victoria Hagan and ICRAVE, Ms. Watts worked on projects as wide ranging as full scale hotel renovations in Florida, Texas and New York, to Upper East Side classic 6’s. Educated in the Bauhaus method at Pratt Institute, Ms. Watts approaches her design work from a conceptual vantage.

With the addition of a Key West location to Ms. Watts’ Brooklyn studio, the firm says it hopes to tap into her existing New York City client base at their homes in Florida, as well as expanding services to a broader Southern Florida audience.
