“All art should inspire and evoke emotion.”
— Chris DeRubeis
This weekend, you have a rare opportunity to meet artist Chris DeRubeis, one of the world’s hottest selling artists. His unique works of art are featured prominently at high-end galleries throughout the United States and abroad.
DeRubeis is the inventor of a new style of artwork known as Abstract Sensualism ®. Abstract Sensualism uses a metal canvas as the foundation and is characterized by the way the art reflects and moves in the light and its sleek, sexy curves and imagery.
“I favor metal because I can combine a form of sculpture as the foundation for my expression and have found a way to enhance my ability to communicate emotions more intently,” says DeRubeis. “All art should inspire and evoke emotion. Art should be something you can actually feel.”
DeRubeis will be at the Grand Opening of DeRubeis Fine Art of Metal Gallery at their new location at 619 Duval St. for one night only — Saturday, Sept. 7, from 7-10 p.m. During the spectacular Grand Opening event, attendees will have the opportunity to meet DeRubeis live and in-person, snack on free horsd’oeuvres, enjoy complimentary beverage and enter a variety of raffles and giveaways.
You could be the winner of the oneof kind “Red Wine Pour” piece of artwork created by DeRubeis and valued at over $1,300. There is no purchase necessary and only one entry is allowed per person. The winner will be drawn at 11 p.m. and you do not have to be present to win. But, you do have to enter in person on Saturday, Sept. 7, anytime between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m.
Derubeis Fine Art Of Metal Gallery — Key West
DeRubeis Fine Art of Metal offers original artwork from DeRubeis and 11 other hand-selected artists. Because of the unique method by which DeRubeis creates his artwork (a concoction of a metal canvas, power tools, grinders, sandpaper, chemicals, paint, fire and creative genius), no two pieces can ever be the same.
“I like the movements that the grinds on the metal have with all the sweeps and curves, and all the soft, sensual movement lines,” DeRubeis says. ¦
